December News Letter

Club Championship

This year's club trials have been poorly supported despite our attempts with the trial day, different times, and the introduction of the green course. For 2016 we are going back to a Saturday date and start time of 13:00 for the club trials and of course continuing with the green course. We have tried to select dates that will avoid clashes with major events. The event dates table has been produced and is now on the website. Look for 2016 Dates on the right hand side of the website home page. The first trial of 2016 will be on the 20 th February at Post Hill.

Other Dates

Before any of our trials start in 2016 there are two dates that will be of interest to members; the AGM will be on the 11th February (20:00 at club HQ) and the following evening on the 12th will be the annual Dinner and Prize Presentation. This will once again be a joint venture with Horsforth & DMC. As in past years, there will be a choice of menu to be pre-booked in advance when booking your place. This year we will be using the Manor Golf Club at Drighlington. 19:00 start time with a ticket price of £20, half price for junior club members. Contact John Kershaw to book on 0113 2853743. As regards the AGM, this is the one meeting at which club rules may be changed, so if you have any burning issues you need to attend this meeting. All welcome.

Points Table

As the club championship for 2015 is now concluded the points table has been compiled and this too is available for competitors to check their points tally. Watch out for the award winners list once we have run the Presidents Trial on Boxing Day.

Forthcoming Attractions

Boxing Day at Post Hill: The annual running of the Presidents Trial will this year feature a Green route, a dead easy route suitable for beginners, p65, over 60's, D class, small wheels or anyone else who just wants an easy ride round. The other routes will be the usual hard, moderate and easy options, four routes to choose from in total. In addition our observers for this event will be treated to Xmas cake and sherry supplied by our long serving secretary Penny.
